Many organizations commit the time and financial resources to developing a mission, strategic plans, visions, values etc. The investment in these processes can be substantial as the organizations consider this to be an investment in their future.

But is the investment worth it, and how much value does this bring to the organization if the staff do not buy in or are not performing and don’t do the work that is required to successfully implement the mission and the strategic plans, etc.?

Maureen MacCarthy, a Founding Partner at Mission Critical Development International (MCDI), a company that focuses on project management systems, organization change initiatives and learning and managing knowledge, explores these issues in her MCDI blog Seeing Culture.
